Praise God for another successful Fusion, and ask Him to grow the seed that has been planted in their hearts

Praise God for an new brother, Wei, and ask Him to protect and grow Wei in faith

Pray for the thanksgiving meals: enough hosts from the community and boldness for the hosts to share the truth of Christ with the internationals

Pray for community, love, and truth to be fostered in the family groups

Praises and Prayers

Praise God for powerful testimonies from international believers and a record turn out at our monthly Fusion event!

Praise God for a new Chinese believer, Pikachu, and the baptism of Jeffrey last week, a newer Chinese believer!

Pray that the family groups will grow in their community and love for each other, so that the love of Christ would be shown and the truth about Christ would be spoken.

Pray that more Americans would be raised up to share the good news of Christ with internationals here and overseas.

Overdue updates and prayer requests

Here are some overdue updates and prayer requests that Jack has been trying to get me to post! Sorry all...

• Praise God for the 400 - 500 internationals and Americans who participated in the annual Hayride! Please pray that many who came will be drawn to Christ.
• Pray that many who indicated they want to be involved in Family Groups will follow through with their interest.
• Pray for IFC as we follow-up with so many interested internationals.

Visa granted for Sunny!

On July 18th, Sunny received a letter from the U.S. government officially
telling her that her application for a visa, to stay and work with IFC,
has been granted!

Praise the Lord that the end result of all the time and money spent on
the visa application is positive. We can now look forward to Sunny
ministering to internationals through IFC for several years to come!

Upcoming Events - Prayer Requests

July 4 - IFC Cookout and Fireworks Event

• Pray that many new students will attend
• Pray that God will use the event as the beginning of many new relationships started between internationals and Americans
• Pray that this event might be the first step toward many being drawn to faith in Christ
• Thank God for all the volunteers who will be working hard to make the event successful

August 31 - IFC Hayride and Farm Visit

• Please began praying now that hundreds of new students will attend the beginning of school IFC Hayride
• Pray that it will be use to bring glory to God
• Pray that God will give us good, clear, and cool weather for the event
• Pray that we will be well organized and that we will be able to follow up on the many who will show interest in being involved in IFC

Prayer request for Jack and Connie Owens

Jack and Connie Owens will be leaving for China on May 11 to spend several days learning from, and seeking to encourage, our TSC and Cornerstone students as well as workers in several cities.
Pray:

• for safety in travel
  
• that they will learn much
  
• that their thoughts and plans for the future will be expanded
  
• that the visits will be beneficial to the TSC students and workers

Prayer for Sunny Ma

Cornerstone Church has applied to the US government to grant Sunny Ma (IFC intern) an R-1 visa. If granted, this would allow her to work full time for Cornerstone on staff with IFC to help serve the international community at ISU. Please pray that God will give Sunny favor in the eyes of the officials who make this decision, and that the application would be granted very soon.

Prayer Request for Chinese students

Here is a prayer request from Jason and Jen Lee:

My husband, Jason, and I have a family group and we would like to request prayer for three of the Chinese students who are in our group. Last night we discussed the consequences of sin and they tracked with it 100% and were grappling with what on earth can be done since there is no way to get to God on our own. We ended up sharing the good news and so they are all contemplating it now.

The students' names are:

Yongsheng & Qing (married)
Shaogang (male)

Prayer Requests: TSC Summer Team

Pray for the TSC Summer team that will be focusing on outreach to internationals. There will be about 20 TSC students involved at some level on the summer team serving the social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs of internationals at ISU. Pray:

• For the ability to quickly make new contacts with internationals
• For friendships to quickly develop
• That God will use the team to draw people from the nations to faith in Jesus Christ
• For success in involving many in different activities such as the English Clubs and other summer events

Chinese outreach opportunity!

Awesome Opportunity! This Fall semester IFC will have the opportunity to host the Chinese Student association in having their "Chinese Mid-autumn Celebration Party" at Cornerstone Church. That means that over 400 Chinese will be meeting at Cornerstone on September 12th to celebrate. During the celebration they want IFC to give information about how they can be involved in IFC and Cornerstone. They will want many of you to attend in order to meet new Chinese students. Please begin praying that God will use this beginning of school event as a means for us to connect and befriend many new Chinese students. Praise God for this awesome opportunity He has given us!

IFC Fusion - April 4th

The next IFC Fusion will be on April 4th! For anyone who doesn't know, IFC Fusion is a monthly event where people from all of the different IFC Family Groups get together for a time of worship, learning about Jesus, and fun. It will be held in the Memorial Union Gallery at 7:30PM. Stan Hayek will be speaking about the cost of following Jesus. Whether or not you are in a family group, you are definitely welcome, and feel free to bring friends as well!

This blog, when it is ready, will feature important IFC information including news, and prayer requests. There is a good chance that the design of this blog, which may look nothing like its current design, will be mostly done within the week.
